Let\u2019s see what it\u2019s all about!<\/p>\n<div class=\"is-divider divider clearfix\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"is-divider divider clearfix\"><\/div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"what_is_new_bitshares\"><\/span>What is New Bitshares?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"is-divider divider clearfix\"><\/div>\n<p>New Bitshares is a fork of Bitshares and\u00a0<strong>a public blockchain infrastructure that uses the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bitnovo.com\/blog\/en\/what-is-the-delegated-proof-of-stake\/\">delegated proof of stake or dPos<\/a>\u00a0consensus algorithm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Certainly,\u00a0<strong>it describes itself as an open source solution (OSS)<\/strong>\u00a0to power decentralized finance (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bitnovo.com\/blog\/en\/\">DeFi<\/a>) and DEX (decentralized exchanges) based on the dPos consensus of the founder of EOS. It was also implemented with an organizational structure of a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bitnovo.com\/blog\/en\/what-is-a-dao\">DAO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>New Bitshares itself is working to reverse some features that have not been approved by the Bitshares committee in BTS 4.0.
