Believe me 99% of those who have been scammed thought the same thing.<\/p>\n<p>Today we will talk about one of the most common frauds, because of its simplicity to be executed by the attacker and because of the great results obtained by the fraudsters in doing so. <strong>Impersonation fraud is a scam<\/strong> in which, generally,<strong> an attacker creates a fake profile of another person<\/strong> (famous businessmen, influential people, well-known companies, etc.) in order to execute deceptive practices to their victims.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"how_does_a_phishing_attack_work\"><\/span><strong>How does a phishing attack work?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are many strategies for executing a successful phishing attack and, with each passing day, attackers invent new ones. But the biggest difference between a spoofing attack and the others is that<strong> this is a deception that is carried out through psychological manipulation<\/strong> <strong>and not so much through software and hardware<\/strong> as many other attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Cybercriminals often attempt to steal <strong>credit card details, passwords, bank account details and other credentials from victims<\/strong>.
